PROJECT & PRODUCTION

Ash Elements Production & Quality Control

Real production, inspection, sorting, packing and shipment process for kiln-dried Ash elements.

Project Overview

This project involved the preparation of kiln-dried Ash elements for furniture manufacturing. Dimensions, moisture content, straightness, surface grading, sorting and packing were controlled according to confirmed project requirements.

From Material Preparation

From Material Preparation to Shipment

1. Material Selection

Kiln-dried Ash lumber selected according to product grade, dimensions and moisture requirements. Material inspected before machining.

2. S4S Machining

Elements machined on four sides to achieve required thickness, width and parallel edges. Consistent tolerance across the batch.

3. Dimension & Moisture

Thickness, width, straightness and moisture content checked according to order specification.

4. Sorting & Tally

Finished elements sorted by dimensions and lengths. Pallet identification and tally prepared for traceability.

5. Export Packing

Pallets reinforced and protected according to product dimensions and transport requirements.

What We Learned

  • Consistent moisture control across the batch is critical for S4S precision
  • Tally preparation with pallet-level traceability reduces inspection time at destination
  • Packing reinforcement at pallet corners significantly reduces transit damage risk
  • Sorting by length before packing improves handling efficiency
