Pilot Dewei supplies custom plywood decks and plywood components for furniture dollies, moving trolleys, transport rollers and other material-handling equipment. These components are manufactured from structural plywood and can be supplied as fully machined parts, including cutting to size, handle openings, rounded edges, drilled holes and other CNC machining according to customer drawings. Depending on the application, the plywood deck can be produced with a natural birch-faced surface or an anti-slip phenolic film surface for heavier-duty transport applications.

Birch-Faced Plywood Dolly Deck
A load-bearing plywood component with birch face veneers and a poplar plywood core. The birch surface provides a clean appearance, good wear resistance and reliable machining performance, while the multi-layer plywood construction provides the strength required for repeated furniture-moving applications.
Anti-Slip Film Faced Plywood Dolly Deck
Designed for heavier-duty furniture and material-handling applications, this version uses a phenolic film faced plywood construction with an anti-slip surface. One side can be supplied with a textured anti-slip finish while the reverse side remains smooth.

The anti-slip surface helps improve grip during transportation and also provides better wear and moisture resistance than an untreated plywood surface.

Particular attention can be given to the handle opening and external edges, as these areas are frequently handled during use and should be smooth and properly rounded.
Load-Bearing Performance
The mechanical performance of a furniture dolly deck depends on several factors, including plywood construction, veneer species, veneer thickness, number and orientation of plies, adhesive system, overall panel thickness, direction of loading, and machining and handle position. For this reason, samples intended for mechanical testing should be produced using the same construction, veneer specification and adhesive system planned for mass production. For projects with defined load requirements, Pilot Dewei can coordinate sample production and mechanical testing according to the customer’s test method and acceptance criteria.
