What is being developed
An extra-long eucalyptus plywood panel at 1230 × 3670 mm and 30.2 mm thickness. The 30.2 mm construction includes a 4 mm HDF layer on both the top and bottom faces. The panel carries a decorative Red Oak and Maple rotary-cut veneer.
What is the challenge
The long-length decorative veneer is the key open issue. A stable A-grade rotary-cut Red Oak and Maple veneer is required at 3050 mm to 3670 mm length, with no joins in the top layers.

On 2026-09-03, the rotary-cut direction for the decorative veneer was reconfirmed. Sourcing of stable A-grade rotary-cut Red Oak and Maple veneer at long length is now in progress.
